Fostering innovation and promoting collaboration among companies: what is new under the Block Exemption Regulations
On July 1st, 2023, a significant milestone was reached within the EU legal framework with the entry in force of two impactful Regulations: EU Regulation 2023/1066 and EU Regulation 2023/1067. The former (the R&D Block Exemption Regulation) focuses on the application of Article 101(3) TFEU to specific categories of R&D agreements. Conversely, the latter, also known as Specialisation Block Exemption Regulation, addresses the application of Article 101(3) of the TFEU in relation to certain categories of specialisation agreements.
